Contemplating how drawing should be made

As you might have noticed, we are still working on the draw mode. Drawing lines is easy but making it work with the current design is not. so if you have any suggestions, we are happy to hear.

The current idea is to have a "draw green line" and "draw red line" which when chosen let the user draw as much as they like.

so, drawing lines.. any other needs ?

Good criticism vs. ruining criticism

Hi,
In the review section of iQuant EOD on itune we have 3 reviews now, they are not good and two of them essentially say the same - the app need more work.

Don't worry, the app is not done yet, but the subject of this post is the difference between constructive criticism and just plain complaint.

Consider this: "this app sucks. waste of money" vs. "this app needs more work, the pattern recognition feature has potential but it clutters the screen too much".

Now, reading the first one the immediate response is - this guy decided to be cruel, after all, why didn't this person use the support link? telling us the app sucks is all nice, but putting it in the review area of the app is shooting yourself in the foot - people read it, no one buys the app and everybody loose.

On the other hand, constructive criticism - saying that you like it but you wish the following points [...] were different is something we can work with.

Not only that, but we did, and we hope you will like what we did. Oh, and support/resist lines are coming soon as well - if you have inputs on that or the way it should be implemented please tell us.

Thanks for listening,
Hwga

Version 1.3 submitted - more control over pattern indicators

Hi,
A new version of iQuant EOD has been submitted for apple's approval. This one will clean up a bit of the clutter when pressing the japanese candles button. Currently the japanese candles is coupled with the pattern recognition; Some users wanted it to be separate so now the indicators tab include all of the patterns available.

To use this new feature, just choose and see if they pop up in your chart :-) - remember, some of the indicators are rarely seen, while others are frequent.

Also, and this will interest anyone who tried the fine tuning feature in 1.2, more information will be available for each entry in the configuration popover for each indicator. For example "Time period" will now say "Number of days" to reflect the indicator will work on your chosen period of days.

Hope this will rollout soon,
