Good criticism vs. ruining criticism

Hi,
In the review section of iQuant EOD on itune we have 3 reviews now, they are not good and two of them essentially say the same - the app need more work.

Don't worry, the app is not done yet, but the subject of this post is the difference between constructive criticism and just plain complaint.

Consider this: "this app sucks. waste of money" vs. "this app needs more work, the pattern recognition feature has potential but it clutters the screen too much".

Now, reading the first one the immediate response is - this guy decided to be cruel, after all, why didn't this person use the support link? telling us the app sucks is all nice, but putting it in the review area of the app is shooting yourself in the foot - people read it, no one buys the app and everybody loose.

On the other hand, constructive criticism - saying that you like it but you wish the following points [...] were different is something we can work with.

Not only that, but we did, and we hope you will like what we did. Oh, and support/resist lines are coming soon as well - if you have inputs on that or the way it should be implemented please tell us.

Thanks for listening,
Hwga
